John, Chapter 6
Where to Go for Help
Be sure to carefully read and explore the pages on Canvas Guides, Community Forums, and Reporting a Problem. Consider Pricing and Requesting a Feature as you have time.
Although Pricing Information and Requesting a Feature ARE part of Chapter 6, coverage is NOT required for the campus-based section of this course.
3. Pricing Information - pages 195-196 - This is pretty simple in that there is a button for pricing. All pricing involves quite a few variables and basically has to be individually priced with Instructure. Feel free to skip these two pages.
4. Requesting a Feature - pages 196-199 - Canvas grew from suggestions from users. However, in general I suspect this feature will carry more weight coming from a school that has an Institutional Account. Nevertheless, ideas are needed for the Free Teacher Account. And, it is possible that in the process of suggesting a new feature one could discover the feature actually is already there, just overlooked in one's search. Alternatively, it could be the feature is soon to be released. In either case, filing the request can be very rewarding personally.

- What are the Canvas Guides and how are they arranged, if one wanted to browse this information?
- How does one search the Canvas Guides?
- On Community Forums, write to these specifics:
- What are the Community Forums?
- How does one ask a question on the Community Forum?
- How does one Respond to a question on the Community Forum?
- Specifics:
- How does one report a problem with Canvas?
- Preparing a screencast is part of a different course. Covering it here is not required, even though it is mentioned in the context of reporting a problem. Simply acknowledge in you writing about reporting a problem to Canvas that a screencast would be helpful.
